We welcomed a range of professionals to the school for our first ever Careers Day. We welcomed doctors, a policeman, a Governors, 5 prospective University students from Dormers Wells. a fitness instructor, singer, a sales executive and secretary for two charities and a prospective professional footballer. The children had an opportunity to listen to what these careers entailed and were given the opportunity to ask questions. All of our visitors stressed the importance of hard work, perseverance, being happy in what you chose to do and setting career goals early. Pupils researched a job they would like to do in the future and lessons were planned around study, going to university or following apprenticeships and learning about different pathways to jobs. The whole day was very informative and thoroughly enjoyed by our visitors staff and the pupils. Thank you for your continued support.
