Year 4 Visited the Anglo Saxon Village at the beginning of November to start of their Autumn 1 Topic! The Anglo Saxon village was really far away but it was well worth it because we got to see Anglo Saxon houses and how they lived. In the workshop we learned about how Anglo Saxon used tools to carve wood and weave, making things like bowls and quilts. In the middle of all the houses was a Hall where Anglo Saxons held meetings and feasts. There we got to ask lots of questions about how the Anglo Saxons lived and the lady knew lots of facts. The most fun parts of the trip were when we got to try out weaving on a real loom and watching the story of Beowulf in the museum. I would definitely recommend others to visit West Stowe. – Sahijpreet
