Attendance

Attendance at Tudor

To support your child’s education the Government has set high expectations for attendance at school.  If a child’s attendance falls below 96% they are classed as a Persistent Absentee and the Local Authority will take action. Please see our attendance policy below for further information on our procedures. If you have any concerns about your child’s attendance or the procedures please speak with our Admissions and Attendance officer, Mrs Hillier.

Education and Punctuality

School begins at 8.40 for soft start activities. During this time the children have the opportunity to check their next steps, finish any uncompleted work, and practice their targets, spellings and so on. Registration closes at 8.55am. At 9 o’clock the first lesson begins please ensure that your child is on time everyday so that their learning and progress is not affected.

Attendance is very important at Tudor and we are also asking families do ensure you can support your child’s education by dropping them to school every day and on time!  Children are also not authorised to be taken on holidays during term time as this affects our school attendance and your child will be missing out on vital learning.

Attendance Celebration

At Tudor we ensure that all pupils and classes are rewarded for their great attendance results. The celebration takes place in assemblies on a termly basis. Children who have a 100% attendance all year round is celebrated every year in September, and are awarded with fantastic prizes ranging from Books, Stationary, Gadgets,  Cinema afternoon at school and many more. Tudor would like to congratulate those who take pride coming into school.
