February 2023

Tudor Primary School is proud and privileged to serve its pupils and our vibrant school community. We work in partnership with pupils, parents and families to achieve the best outcomes for our pupils. Communication and the sharing of information is a crucial part of this relationship.

Thank you to all the parents who responded to the recent Parent /Carer survey.  We are always keen to hear your comments, concerns and feedback as it helps us understand what is working well and what we can improve.

The results of the survey were significantly positive.

Over 96.7% of responses agreed that the school provides a good level of care and support and keeps their child safe.

88.9 % of respondents agree that our pupils are taught well. The remainder was accounted as “do not know.”

90% of responses reported that pupils have access to a wide range of experiences and activities with only 3.3% disagreeing.

The remainder is accounted by “ do not know” This is reassuring as Tudor School endeavours to give our pupils access to a wide range of broad educational, social and cultural activities that they may not otherwise experience. In recent years we have extended our repertoire of trips, theatre, workshops and performances to include eg Forest School, MindUp Career Week etc.  This is important to raise the aspirations of our young people and inform them of the possibilities they have for their futures.

83.3% of respondents agreed with the statement that pupil behaviour is managed well with only 4.4% of responses disagreeing. The remaining responses indicated “do not know.”  Tudor School sets high expectations of behaviour and endeavours for our pupils to meet them online and in the real life. We are very mindful of our responsibility to teach our pupils to understand good learning and social behaviour. We welcome parents /carers sharing concerns with us as we all work together.

80 % of parents agreed with the statement that they feel they can approach staff if they have a concern.    We at Tudor School, recognise that communication between home and school is crucial to secure the best outcomes for your child.  If you do have any comments or concerns, please make an appointment with the class teacher so that we can set aside time to listen and respond to you. We welcome and value your input and cooperation.

The overwhelming majority of parents, 85.6% have responded that the school is well led with only 3.3 % disagreeing.  The remainder is accounted for by “do not know.”

Overall, the feedback from parents is very positive and this is gratifying to the staff who work so hard for all children.

Our success is based on this partnership with parents/carers and is always in the interest of your children.

We will endeavour to continue to do our utmost to support you and your children and look forward to your cooperation and communication

Each year we send out an annual questionnaire to all our parents/carers and pupils.

The views of parents/ carers and pupils  are important, it helps us to shape the future direction of the school.
