Applying for a Nursery Place
Starting Nursery is an exciting milestone for children and their families. At Tudor Primary School, we provide a warm, welcoming and stimulating environment where children feel safe, happy and confident as they begin their learning journey.
Nursery at Tudor Primary School
Our Nursery follows the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) statutory framework. Children learn through purposeful play, exploration, adult-led activities and opportunities to develop their independence, communication and social skills. Our Early Years staff work closely with families to help every child settle in and develop strong foundations for future learning.
Nursery Places and Session Times
We offer 50 part-time Nursery places: 25 in the morning and 25 in the afternoon.

Applying for a Nursery Place
To enquire about a Nursery place, please contact the Tudor Primary School office for information about availability, the application process and the school’s Nursery admissions arrangements.
Places are subject to availability.
A Nursery place does not guarantee a Reception place at Tudor Primary School. Parents and carers must make a separate Reception application through their home local authority.
When Can My Child Start?
Children are normally eligible for a funded Nursery place from the term after their third birthday, subject to the applicable funding rules and availability. Please contact the school office to discuss your child’s eligibility and possible start date.
Come and Visit Us
We warmly encourage prospective parents and carers to visit Tudor Primary School. A visit is an opportunity to learn more about our Nursery curriculum, meet our team and see how we support children’s learning and development. Please contact the school office to arrange a visit.
Helping Your Child Settle
We recognise that starting Nursery may be the first time some children spend regular periods away from their parents or carers. Our induction and settling-in arrangements help each child make a positive start. We work in partnership with families to understand children’s individual needs and provide appropriate support.
