At Tudor Primary School, we are committed to protecting our planet! Our Eco Policy helps us all work together to make our school a greener, cleaner, and more sustainable place. Let’s do our part!
🔋 Energy Conservation
- Switch it off! Lights must be turned off when a room is not in use.
- Power down! PCs and electrical equipment should be turned off at the end of the school day.
- Keep the warmth in! During winter, keep windows and doors closed to save energy.
- Use natural light! In summer, open windows and adjust blinds instead of using extra lights.
♻️ Waste Reduction & Recycling
- Say no to plastic! Bring a reusable water bottle with your name on it.
- Save paper! Reuse sheets in class or take them home.
- Sort your waste!
- Paper and recyclable items recycling bins.
- General waste black bags only (reduce the amount of plastic black bags.
- Food waste is allocated to food waste bins only.
- 🖨️ Think before you print!
- One box of paper per class per term.
- Printers set to use minimal ink and paper.
🍽️ Sustainable Eating
- Meat-Free Mondays! As part of our commitment to sustainability, we encourage a meat-free lunch every Monday to reduce our environmental impact.
👕 Uniform and Lost Property
- Label your uniform! Put your name on everything to avoid losing items.
- Lost & found giveaway! Unclaimed lost property will be given away for free to help families and reduce waste at our Summer Term Uniform Swap Shop
