Nursery Attendance Policy
Nursery Attendance Policy –🌟
📌 Our Promise
At Tudor Primary School, we want every child to:
✅ Feel happy and excited to learn
✅ Do their best in a safe and fun place
✅ Get lots of support from friendly teachers and staff
🎓 Why Attendance is Important
Coming to Nursery every day helps children:
📖 Learn new things
👫 Make friends
🏫 Get ready for Primary School
Even though Nursery is not compulsory, coming regularly is really important! If children attend most of their sessions, they will find school easier later on.
📊 How We Check Attendance
We register who comes to Nursery every day.
📌 If a child is sick – Parents should tell the school as soon as possible.
📌 If a child misses too many days – Parents will receive a letter.
📌 If attendance doesn’t improve – The school will talk to parents to find ways to help.
📌 If a child doesn’t come for a long time without a medical reason supported by a doctor– they will lose their Nursery place.
📞 If no one tells the school why a child is absent:
✔️ The school will call the parents.
✔️ If no one answers, teachers and staff will visit the child’s home to check if everything is okay.
⚠️ If a child misses too many days (below 85% attendance or 10 days ) without a good reason, they will lose their Nursery place.
📢 What to Do If You’re Absent
If a child can’t come to Nursery, parents should call:
📞 0208 571 4818
🕗 By 8:30 AM for morning sessions
🕛 By 12:00 PM for afternoon sessions
⏰ Why Being on Time Matters
⏳ Being late means missing fun activities and lessons.
💭 It can also be upsetting to walk in after everyone has started.
🏛️ Working with the Council
If needed, the school works with the local council to help families with attendance.
📜 Other Important Rules
