  • Southall Park Tree Festival

    Tue 13 Jun 2023

Year 4 were invited to visit and take part in nature activties with Ealing's Tree Festival.

Trees for Cities in partnership with London Borough of Ealing are hosting the Ealing Tree Festival at Southall Park on June 13th 2023!

Since 2016, they have worked together with Ealing to plant and establish over 47,000 trees across the borough. They have engaged thousands of local residents and community groups during the last 6 years and what better way to celebrate and continue inspiring local residents than a festival of trees with local schools taking part. The children had an amazing time walking to the park, learning the art of tree identification and picking up some hints and tips to help us develop our tree skills by doing a tree walk. Then children then took part in some nature art activities.

    Girls Cricket

    Brentham Cricket Club

Before the tournament, in school we had practiced our bowling since it was an important part of the tournament we had also practiced our batting. We practiced during lunch time and during PE. At the tournament we had challenging competitors. All of us felt nervous but fortunately we had overcome all three of the teams in our group and came first place for the matches although winning it was a really tough.  Then we got sent to the semi - finals where we lost with five points due to the lack of concentration and our reactions.  At the end the sport had made our team happy as we left with fourth place .
