    Girls Football

    Goals Hayes

My name is Moriom. On Thursday 29th June, the girls from year 6 took part in a football tournament. Mr Coakley told us to be competitive and aggressive. We waved goodbye to our classmates as they wished us the best of luck and off we went.

Unfortunately, we lost our first match, but I know that my teammates tried their best. We lost by 1 goal. We all felt a little pressure but this just gave us more motivation to do well. I was determined as the goalkeeper to save more goals.

During one of the hardest matches, Umazia, our midfielder scored an astounding goal. Sadly, we lost but we knew we did amazing and we were proud of ourselves. After lunch, we discovered brilliant news about going to the semi-finals and skipping the quarter-finals.

It was our time to play now, we were all nervous but we could do this. I was the defender. Everything started off well and we blocked the ball coming near the goal. Then they scored, we were all sure that we could not get a goal until I scored!! That was time!

It was time for penalties. The other school started. And a brilliant save was made by Zainab. Umazia missed. Now it was up to Rhea to score. Yes she did! It was my turn. Could I do it? I missed it. We lost.

We all arrived at school with sad and depressed faces.

At the end we realised that we did our best and were proud of ourselves and we valued every single moment as the best memory ever. We knew we did our best and we learnt  a lot from this experience. After all penalties were about luck.

  • Careers Day

    Wed 28 Jun 2023

Our aim was to provide a focus for careers guidance activity at an important stage in the academic calendar to help support young people develop awareness and excitement about their future pathways. Careers Day at Tudor was definitely a great day for the children to explore and be inspired about their future prospects, children came into school dressed up as doctors, nurses, footballers, pilots, chefs, police officers, construction workers, and even army cadets.

    We were very delighted to welcome Miss Atanasova who works in Civil Engineering, children learned how she helped build the Chanel Tunnel including her work in the following traffic tunnels;

    •Railway – trains

    •Highway – cars, trucks.

    •Pedestrians or cyclists

    Utility tunnels:

    •Waste water

    •Power cables

    •Oil or gas

Our second speaker was Miss Aminu, from Mother Lee's Garden, a self-employed Day care center entrepreneur, who started off as a lawyer and now runs her own art and daycare center. She talked about

    •Childcare Services

•Creative and Connected using Art and creating her own Art.

    •Community Events and Social Enterprise

•Supporting children and young people to adopt a Growth mindset to deal with everyday life.

•Parenting skills with Growth skills approach

    Perivale Athletics Track

On Tuesday 26th June, we went to the Athletics tournament which was held by the Featherstone SSP. When we had arrived at the venue in our minibus, we found a place to sit down and observed the other school that had come. Then,it was time for the events. It was pretty hard since there were many schools but we managed to get 9th place in the tournament, much better than the last time as we got 11th place. One thing I think we need to focus on was not worrying about others and only focusing on yourself. I also think if we all didn't waste all of our energy at the beginning of the race we might have gotten a better time. When it was for the relay race, we started of badly since Keshikan had dropped the baton but lucky Sartaj was able to catch up and I had a good start to getting to the finish line when suddenly another girl zoomed past me leaving Tudor Primary to be 2nd place with 1 minute and 17 seconds.

Roman London: the action takes place in the Central Londinium slave market. The children are in the role as young slaves newly arrived from Caledonia. They meet Martia, a recently freed Roman slave, who has been sent to train them in the ways of the Romans.

Year 3 enjoyed this highly interactive Drama Workshop, using a selection of replica artifacts and focusing on Roman life in the city - including trades, customs, gods, and even a little Latin on Wednesday 21st June

  • Ising Pop Concert

    Mon 19 Jun 2023

Thank you to Ising Pop for putting on a great energetic concert with out years 3, 5 and 6, at St Georges Church. The children did so well singing their hearts out, and we loved the fact that Miss Hunter helped our children feel confident and brought some singing fun into the school. Thank you to St George's church for letting us be part of the amazing event.

I didn’t expect for us to be this good but we knew deep down that we played the hardest we could’ve done. At the tournament, the Year 6s were separated into two teams: Tudor A & B. In Tudor A there was me (Varthshayan), Abinesh, Ryan, Safwan, Srinith, Haransh and Tahseen and in Tudor B there was Ayaan, Keshikan, Subiksan, Arjun, Farez, Saimoom and Ganesh. Our first matches were Tudor A vs  Featherstone A and Tudor B vs Khalsa A: our teams lost to them. Then we both played together. Unfortunately for both teams, it was a draw. Finally, it was Tudor A vs Khalsa A and Tudor B vs Featherstone A but unfortunately, we lost to them again. So we were both placed in the Vase Competition but we both lost in the Round of 16. Fortunately, we got medals for participating in the tournament.

Playing against other schools has been an opportunity to show off my football abilities to other teams. For example, when I was playing against Tudor B, I hit a goal against Farez with a smooth pass by Safwan. To be honest, I have only scored goals in school sometimes but this was the first time I scored a goal in Year 6 because I usually play as a defender. I really enjoyed the tournament and it was a great experience to see children I might meet on Transition Day.

    Spikes Bridge Park

Before we arrived, we had a lot of practice with Mr Coakley in our PE lessons. We practiced our bowling and batting and fielding. When we arrived, we were feeling nervous but excited. Unfortunately, we lost the first game due to our nerves but in the second game we had great success and we won after we started to believe in ourselves. We then went to the quarter final but it was very hard to beat our opponents and unfortunately we lost and we had to go back. If we beat the first team, we would have played against an easier team in the quarter finals so we learnt that we need to be more confident. We still had a lot of fun and we also worked really hard as a team.
