Wear Red - show racism the red card
Tudor is proud to serve our diverse community and our aim is to be an anti-racist school and ensure the Tudor Value of respect is an integral part of our community. To show our solidarity and to enhance our children's understanding of being anti-racist, we would like to support Wear Red Day on Friday 18th October.
Our PSHE scheme overtly teaches anti-racism in Upper Key Stage 2 and teaches tolerance and respect in all year groups. We will sensitively explain why we will be wearing red to the children in an age appropriate way.
The event is not to raise money, it is purely to raise awareness. Your child may wear a red t-shirt or jumper on that day. This is a good opportunity to talk with your child about being proud of their heritage and appreciating the fact that we are part of such a multi-cultural community.
