  • Report on Recent Successful Sports Competitions

    Fri 13 Jun 2025

We are thrilled to share the fantastic results from our recent sports competitions, where our talented students demonstrated remarkable skills and teamwork!

First up, our Year 3 and 4 girls’ football team achieved an impressive third place at the girls’ football competition. Their journey was a nail-biter as they narrowly lost in the semi-finals on penalties. Rahma and Ilaja stood out as two of the best players in the entire competition, showcasing their fantastic abilities.

Similarly, our Year 6 girls’ cricket team also finished third in their competition. The tremendous progress they made in their PE lessons truly shone through, with excellent bowling and batting skills on display. They were a real credit to the school!

And what a performance from the Year 6 boys’ cricket team, who remarkably won their competition! Their focus and problem-solving skills were exceptional, especially during a thrilling semi-final where they were down by 23 runs with only three balls left. Team captain Zain pulled off an incredible win by scoring 25 runs, demonstrating quick thinking and superb technique.

Not only did they secure victory, but the boys also made history as the first Tudor team to win a cricket tournament. What a proud moment for us all!

Your integration of the garden into various learning activities has enriched the curriculum and fostered environmental responsibility.

    We also loved…

    • As Eco-Schools assessors, we were truly impressed by the school's commitment to sustainability, pupil leadership, and community involvement. The Cut Your Carbon Month initiative showcased meaningful engagement beyond the classroom, while the Growing Garden Project fostered biodiversity and hands-on learning.

    • Tackling fast fashion and improving waste management further demonstrated a well-rounded approach to eco-awareness. The integration of sustainability into daily school life ensures a lasting impact, an inspiring example of environmental responsibility in action!

    • We loved seeing the sustainable changes you've implemented, such as your innovative recycling initiatives and energy-saving practices. We were inspired by your commitment to Eco-Learning, which included hands-on activities like tree planting and waste audits.

    • It was fantastic how you engaged the children with projects using natural materials like leaves and pinecones to create art.

    • We enjoyed finding out about your Forest School sessions, which teach pupils the importance of nature and conservation. Your efforts have not only enhanced the school’s sustainability but also instilled eco-conscious values in the next generation.

    Thu 06 Mar 2025

Early years and primary – ‘Change and adapt’ poster competition.

The theme for 2025 is ‘Change and adapt, – there are loads of STEM topics to be explored. Pupils could create a poster showing how plants and animals adapt to changing seasons or surroundings, or how humans have adapted to changing technology. They could look at climate change and how we can adapt our behaviours to protect the environment, or their favourite science experiment and how it shows change.

The more creative the interpretation of the theme, the better!

This year, the competition will close for entries on Thursday 3 April 2025.
